Meet Briae

Briae is running to keep a working-class voice on the Corvallis Council!

Briae has the type of voice we need on Council!

After losing her mother to cancer in 2008, Briae discovered how thin the line is between stability and homelessness.

She worked to regain her footing while studying pediatric nursing, and moved from Maryland to Corvallis in 2019. She lives with her partner, Katie and works long hours as a childcare provider just to get by.

We need working class voices like Briae’s on our city council, and twice Ward 2 voters have made that happen. Ward 2 voters overwhelmingly chose her to be their city councilor in 2022 and reelected her in 2024. There is going to be massive turnover on the Corvallis City Council next year, with at least six city councilors not returning. Briae is the only working-age councilor running for reelection and would start her fifth year of service in January as the council member with the longest consecutive tenure.

You can always see Briae around downtown. Whether you’re just at Greenhouse coffee for a drink or exploring the Farmers Market, you can find Briae there engaging with the people of our city.
